Liability Plus Coverage
Liability Plus is most often purchased by Event Planners because a growing number of venues are requiring proof of Liability insurance.
Who Is Insured Under Liability Plus Coverage?
Liability Plus is available to most Event, Meeting or Wedding Planners. Coverage is extended to employees of the named insured, including other employed Event, Meeting or Wedding Planners. Coverage does not extend to independent contractors subcontracted by you.
What Is Insured Under Liability Plus Coverage?
Liability Plus provides Commercial General Liability insurance protection, up to the specified limit, for sums which the insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of their business operations. This includes operations on the Event Planner’s premises, or on the premises of others, such as the event venue. There is a $1,000,000 liability limit per occurrence/$2,000,000 annual aggregate with defense costs supplemental to, or in addition to that limit. Subject to policy language, Commercial General Liability coverage is provided for the following:
- Bodily Injury Liability
Protects against liability which may arise from the injury or death of another person. - Damage to Premises
Protects against liability for damage to the premises where you are providing Event Planning services. - Property Damage Liability (per loss deductible)
Protects against liability for damage to property of another, not in the care, custody and control of the insured. - Personal Injury Liability
Protects against liability for third party claims for damages which are not physical, such as libel, slander, false arrest, wrongful eviction, invasion of privacy, etc. - Host Liquor Liability
Provides protection for the insured against bodily injury or property damage suits brought by parties whose injuries arise from actions of an intoxicated guest. Host Liquor Liability coverage applies only if there is no transfer of money for alcohol or service / product packages that include alcohol. - Products Liability
Protects against claims arising out of the use, handling, or consumption of a product provided by the insured Event Planner or Event Planner company. - Hired & Non-Owned Auto Liability
Non-Owned Auto Coverage means auto liability coverage for claims resulting from volunteers driving their auto while on business for the Event Planner company. Hired Auto Coverage means auto liability coverage for claims resulting from rented or hired autos/vans/charter buses used for Event Planner company business. - Medical Payments under Liability Plus (subject to $5,000 limit)
Provides protection for injured individuals at a covered event where the Event Planner is providing services.

When Is Liability Plus Coverage Applicable?
The policy period is one calendar year. You may choose the effective date of your policy, and it will expire the same day the following year.
What Is Excluded (Not Covered) Under Liability Plus?
While you will find our General Liability coverage to be one of the broadest in the country, there are some specific exclusions usual to this form of liability insurance. The following is only a summary and is not all inclusive, nor does it alter or waive any of the actual policy language. There is NO coverage, or coverage is excluded for losses or claims arising out of:
- Owned Automobile Liability
- Owned Watercraft Liability
- Owned/Non-Owned Aircraft Liability
- Professional Liability
- Property Damage Liability to any real or personal property which is in the care, custody or control of the insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner
- Any and all sums that would be recoverable under a Workers Compensation insurance policy whether or not such policy exists
- Any activities other than event meeting or wedding planning. Activities such as catering, or the serving of alcohol are not covered
- Any event considered to be a Rave or a Rave-like event
- Any event unless there exists a written contract between the insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner and the person or entity responsible for the promoting, organizing, managing or otherwise controlling the event

Who Is Insured Under Property Plus?
Property Plus is available to Event, Meeting or Wedding Planners who own or are financially responsible for any office or Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner equipment. Property Plus is an optional coverage.
What Is Insured Under Property Plus?
Property Plus provides insurance coverage for Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner equipment, up to the specified value, against all risks of direct physical damage from any external cause, except those which are specifically excluded. The coverage is provided on a replacement cost basis (new for old), and contains a per loss deductible. The policy includes coverage for loss due to fire, windstorm, theft, earthquake, flood, vandalism and other perils which are not excluded.

What Is Excluded (Not Covered) Under Property Plus?
While this Property coverage does offer broad coverage for Event Planners, there are some specific exclusions usual to this form of property insurance. The following is only a summary and is not all inclusive, nor does it alter or waive any of the actual policy language.
There is NO coverage, or coverage is excluded for:
- Losses greater than the replacement value of the property
- Losses greater than the limit of insurance listed on the memorandum
- Loss due to inventory shortage or mysterious disappearance
- Loss due to theft from any unattended vehicle (including trailer) unless all of the following conditions have been met:
a. at the time of the loss, the covered property was contained in a fully enclosed, locked and secured body or compartment of the vehicle (including trailer); and
b. at the time of the loss, the vehicle (including trailer) had an audible alarm which was fully operational and ‘armed’; and
c. the theft resulted from forcible entry or exit - Loss or damage caused by, or made worse by:
a. deterioration, inherent vice or latent defect
b. wear and tear
c. seizure or destruction of property by order of governmental authority
d. illegal transportation or trade
e. a dishonest act of an employee (See Crime Plus)
f. the neglect of the insured to reasonably protect the property from a disaster or neighboring fire - Property that is loaned, rented or given to others
- Property used at any event considered to be a Rave or Rave-like event
- Property used at any event unless there exists a written contract between the insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner and the person or entity responsible for the promoting, organizing, managing or otherwise controlling the event
How Do I List My Items And Report the Correct Values?
When purchasing Property coverage, all items to be insured should be valued with the replacement cost (what you would pay today for a brand new item) not the actual cash value. It is not necessarily what you paid when you originally bought the item. You want to insure your items for the cost it would take to replace them today.
What Will I Need To Provide To Prove A Loss Under Property Plus Coverage?
At the time of a loss, you, the insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner, will have to prove that you actually owned the property being claimed as lost or damaged. This applies to Event, Meeting and Wedding Planner equipment. This proof may be in the form of original purchase receipts, pictures or a video of all of the Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner property, or an appraisal.
CRIME PLUS
Due to dishonest acts of employees (such as theft of event planner equipment by an employee) are excluded from the property policy, Crime Plus was created to fill this coverage gap.
Who Is Insured Under Crime Plus?
Crime Plus is an optional coverage available and useful to any Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner with or without employees. Crime Plus has several other coverages important to any Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner operation.
What Is Insured Under Crime Plus?
Crime Plus protects you against exposure to financial losses due to employee dishonesty, forgery, alteration, theft, disappearance or destruction. This policy has three coverages that are outlined below for your reference.
- Employee Dishonesty
Provides protection up to the limit selected and subject to a per loss deductible, for the loss of money, securities and other Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner equipment or property resulting directly from one or more fraudulent or dishonest acts committed by an employee acting alone or in collusion with others. - Forgery Or Alteration
Provides protection, up to the limit selected and subject to a per loss deductible, for loss resulting from forgery or alteration of outgoing checks, drafts, promissory notes and similar instruments drawn against the Insured’s accounts. - Theft, Disappearance, And Destruction
Provides protection, up to the limit selected and subject to a per loss deductible, for loss resulting from theft, disappearance, and destruction. This coverage is divided into two parts, each with its own separate per loss limit.- PART A: Loss Inside The Premises
Provides protection up, to the limit selected and subject to a per loss deductible, for the loss of money and securities by the actual destruction, disappearance or wrongful abstraction thereof, within the premises. - PART B: Loss Outside The Premises
Provides protection, up to the limit selected and subject to a per loss deductible, for the loss of money and securities by the actual destruction, disappearance or wrongful abstraction thereof, outside the premises while being conveyed by a messenger, or while within the living quarters in the home of any messenger. In most cases, the ‘messenger’ would be your Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner employee collecting money or checks on your behalf.

What Is Excluded (Not Covered) Under Crime Plus?
Crime Plus coverage provided by R.V. Nuccio & Associates is one of the broadest in the country, however there are some specific exclusions usual to this form of crime insurance. The following is only a summary and is not all inclusive, nor does it alter or waive any of the actual policy language.
There is NO coverage, or coverage is excluded for:
- Losses, the proof of which is dependent upon an inventory or profit and loss computation
- Losses due to war, whether declared or not, war like action, civil war, insurrection, rebellion or revolution, or any related act or incident
- Losses due to accounting or arithmetical errors or omissions
- Moneys in coin-operated vending machines or amusement devices
- Losses to property in an armored vehicle or messenger service
- Losses (except money or securities) due to fire
- Losses resulting from extortion
- Interest, dividends, or other income resulting from a money loss
- Damages of any type for which the insured is legally liable. Legal expenses are also excluded
- Costs, fees, and other expenses incurred by the Insured in establishing the existence of or amount of a loss covered under this policy
- Cancellation Of Coverage For A Specific Employee(s)
The employee dishonesty coverage contains a condition that immediately cancels any future coverage for any employee (as previously defined) upon discovery by the Insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner of any dishonest act committed by those employee(s), either before or after becoming an employee of the Insured Event, Meeting or Wedding Planner. This condition is common to this type of coverage. Coverage is also excluded for any employee(s) for whom similar prior insurance has been canceled
AD&D/Accident Medical (AME)
Insurance protection for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and Accident Medical Expense (AME). The coverage pays the cost of an injured person’s medical expenses up to the limit, without consideration of who is at fault. Lawsuits can often be avoided with this added coverage. Limits for AD&D / AME are up to $50,000.

AD&D and Accident Medical (AME) provides for medical expenses up to the selected limit when someone gets injured while attending a covered event. Each accident has a $25.00 deductible.

There is NO coverage, or coverage is excluded for:
- Sickness, disease or infections
- Intentional self-destruction or an attempt at it, or intentional self-inflicted injury while sane or insane (if a Missouri contract, while sane)
- War or an act of war, declared or undeclared
- Air travel unless the insured is a passenger on a regularly scheduled flight of a properly licensed commercial airline
